The Décor

The décor at a wedding is important to capture the magic of your day in your photos. Before even diving into this I would like to say when it comes to décor most often than not “simpler is better.”
Yes, décor helps your day to look beautiful in your photos, but make sure to consider the line between just enough décor and not enough, because if you have to much it can distract from you and your spouse and honestly may be more of a hassle. Another thing you may want to consider is the venue policies. Some venues may pack up all your décor for you and have it ready to go by the time you leave, but maybe you are having your reception at a family barn or a venue that does not have staff to clean up or tear down. This is important to consider because you don’t want to have to ask your family to clean up an entire trailer full of stuff (let me tell you this happens all the time) when you are supposed to be enjoying the night and celebrating with the people you hold dearest to you. All in all, it is important to consider what is really needed or will be used and what is not. One of the biggest mistakes at weddings is overdoing things, it can make your reception space feel cluttered and sometimes even a bit distracting from celebrating you and your newlywed. If your unsure, "simpler is better" always.
